WATER<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>a) to encourage those with an interest in good seamanship and safety of life at sea to join as volunteers:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>(i) to assist Marine Rescue NSW in the attainment of its objects\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>(ii) to assist those authorities entrusted with the administration or regulation of maritime affairs; and\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>(iii) to undertake as students and as teachers, training in seamanship, radio operation and related matters.<\/p>\n<p>b) to assist or cooperate with any authority concerned or entrusted with the defence of Australia.<\/p>\n<p>c) to encourage all persons interested to acquire a better understanding of small ships.<\/p>\n<p>d) as instructors and examples to train and educate mariners so that they may be safer in small ships.<\/p>\n<p>e) to train volunteer personnel to carry out maritime rescue work.<\/p>\n<p>f) to support other agencies involved in rescue or other services of a public or community with<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Police, especially Water Police, to provide marine search and rescue services for which the chain of Marine Coast Stations is a vitally important element.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 NSW Maritime Authority, which is responsible for the administration of ports and waterways.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 State Fire and Rural Fire Authorities, both for the implementation of firefighting facilities and environmental activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight:
